Cajun Pasta is one of the most craved dishes no matter who or where you are. Almost every restaurant has pasta as a listed menu item. But this isn’t just any pasta, it is yummy cajun pasta.
In my earlier childhood, before I was old enough to cook for myself, I did not eat a lot of cajun food such as pasta. Most cajun pastas has seafood in them. The reason I didn’t eat a lot of it was because my mom is allergic to seafood which is a bummer. She didn’t really cook anything for us that had seafood in it. We had to deal with it, because we did not want her to catch an allergic reaction. This is the exact reason that I love cajun food and cajun pasta. It just lights up my taste buds!
Any pasta with cajun spices can be considered as yummy cajun pasta for the family as long as you make a big enough serving to feed your whole family. Now there are different ones to choose from depending on what your family likes. There is a great cajun chicken pasta that can be served to your family. It includes tomatoes, green peppers, red peppers, parsley, and chicken breasts. I think it is a great pasta for you chicken lovers that frequently crave a little spice in your lives. There is also a tasty cajun shrimp fettucine that I absolutely love! The green onions, garlic, cajun seasoning, and white wine gives this pasta a unique cajun taste that is so easy to fall in love with. You can guarantee that this would be a great choice that your family would absolutely love. They may even want you to cook it again soon!

Just like you can’t go wrong by watching CMT’s favorite country singer and sitcom actor Reba, you can’t go wrong by wanting to spice up your baked chicken recipes. Personally, I always try to watch what I eat for the most part, especially being from Louisiana. I strongly dislike the taste of salad, stinky fish, and bland baked chicken. I would dread the days when I asked my mom what she was cooking for dinner and she would respond, “salad and baked chicken”. My first thought would be how I am not eating at home that night and how they needed to add some flavor in their life. I never understood how her and my dad enjoyed eating such a bland meal for dinner. Eventually, I got tired of eating out on those nights because it was quite often, so like a scientist, I began doing some research! I looked up ways to spice up my chicken…cajun style! Now, I thoroughly enjoy using delicious cajun chicken recipes for dinner because I learned how to add a hint of cajun ingredients to spice up something I used to dread eating. The recipes provided below give you southern cookers a variety of ways to whip up that mouth watering chicken you are craving for dinner. The prep time for these delicious cajun chicken recipes is no longer than 20 minutes, with a cook time of no more than 45 minutes, providing you with a quick and easy way to spice up your dinner choice! The love you will have for this delicious cajun chicken after trying out these recipes will run hand and hand with the love Eric Decker has for Jessie James:) I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I have, and be prepared to ice down those knees because these delicious cajun chicken recipes will knock a southerner off their feet!
I am bringing to you a non-fried tasty cajun meal that will knock your socks off, which is Green Bean Casserole! It is great that you get to indulge in something so delicious and it is more on the healthy side than any other cajun recipe you will find. I know when we all hear or see the word “healthy” in a recipe we are immediately freaked out. We automatically assume there is no flavor, which is what every cajun looks forward to in a meal. However, do not worry! This green bean casserole is healthy and delicious, and I promise it won’t leave you saying “maybe I should’ve had a salad instead”. This recipe is awesome, because it is great for holiday meals that will be shared with your friends and family. Casseroles are very popular on a dinner table, but you rarely find one with veggies (yes, veggies) included in a way that will still satisfy your southern craving. So like we here at Healthy Cajun Meals have promised and strived for, I am providing a non-fried tasty cajun meal where the taste will blow your mind and won’t blow up the number on the scale. Can’t get better than that right?
Green Bean Casseroles have always been one of my favorite non-fried cajun meals, particularly during Thanksgiving and Christmas time. This is one of those food items that I would constantly put on my plate and could not stop eating, and because it has veggies I did not feel guilty about this indulgence. I can recall my very first time trying a green bean casserole. I first tried this delicious meal at my grandma’s house during Thanksgiving at a very young age. I remember being very turned off when I first saw it because as a kid, as soon as you see something green on a plate you are saying to yourself “there is not a chance I’m eating that!” However, my sweet southern grandma convinced me to try it and it was the tastiest thing ever. I loved this recipe just as much as I loved playing “school” using barbie dolls with my younger sisters; actually, the green bean casserole may have topped that. Ultimately, I am sharing this recipe because I feel like I am bringing a part of my home, to the home of you all and your lovely family. This recipe is easy to follow, and an effortless meal to provide for your loved ones. After they partake in the green bean casserole experience, I promise you everyone will be calling you a chef and want you to cater every family function. And don’t worry, please feel free to accept the compliments and praise because the easy preparation and fast cook time for this delicious casserole will be our secret 🙂
Before I even begin to write this I must admit this is not healthiest of Cajun foods. At the discretion of the cook it can be changed and modified substituting certain ingredients for a healthier meal.
As a child I can always remember getting excited to go to Nan and Pops house for the weekend. Not only did this mean I was going to get spoiled with attention but also those yummy sausage and gravy biscuits! Sausage Gravy and Biscuits has since become one of my all-time favorite “Cajun Breakfast Recipes”. Nan and Pop made the best sausage and gravy biscuits when I was growing up. I’ll never forget the time I thought I overslept and cried for a whole 30 minutes because I missed breakfast. Little did I know Nan and Pop were just yanking my chain. The aroma of Sausage Gravy and Biscuits makes you want to do a backflip or two while launching yourself out of bed. It is almost comparable to an old episode of Tom and Jerry, when Tom would magically float to the scent of a delicious meal. After Nan and Pop passed away we had trouble locating the recipe they came up. It turns out they lost it during a move in the nineties when moving from Lafayette, LA to the small town of Jennings, LA. Luckily I was able to find an almost identical tasting recipe on Yummly.com, Pillsbury.com, and Food.com. These recipes knock the socks off Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. It might not be the exact same recipe as Nan and Pops, but it sure does get the job done. I have made it for my kids, relatives, co-workers, and even the church. Everyone love these Cajun breakfast recipes just as much as I do. What’s not to like about such a delicious tasting breakfast? You will not find another Cajun breakfast recipe like these so stop searching and look no further!
